For most of the last decade, the consumer goods industry has operated under two dominant playbooks. The first is the venture- scale brand: raise capital, spend on acquisition, optimize for growth multiples, hope to be acquired. The second is the aggregator: buy small profitable brands at multiples, plug them into a centralized operating platform, manage them at distance.

Both have produced real outcomes. Neither describes what we wanted to build.

KEVERA was formed as an operating company. We launch consumer brands ourselves, one at a time. We do the research before we write a brand brief. We test the product before we set the price. We answer customer email. We do not flip; we keep what we build. Slow, in the way slow things compound.

Our first brand, sofahug, sits at a quiet intersection: the modern cat household and the design-conscious living room. It is a small market, and that is part of the point. Small markets have specific problems; specific problems are solvable by specific products; specific products are buildable by small focused teams.

We expect to add additional brands in the coming years, but only when there is a customer problem we have documented at depth and an operating thesis we believe in. The portfolio will stay deliberately narrow. The work will stay deliberately patient.
